Getting Started With Silverlight: A Path Through The Learning Material

I often receive email saying, more or less, “I am starting Silverlight, can you tell me what to read first.”

We are working hard on creating a path through all the material for Getting Started. For now, I’d recommend the following:

1. Go to the GetStarted page and download the components you need

2. Work your way through #1-5 in the “Start Learning Silverlight” section on that same page

3. Take a look at my Key Topic on Starting Silverlight (see the sidebar on the right)

4. Take a look at the Silverlight How-Do-I videos, picking subjects that seem interesting to you.

5. Join the forums, especially the Getting Started forum. They are the very best place to get fast answers. See my Note On Posting Questions On Forums.

A Note About The Videos: we are in the process of checking all our learning material to make sure it is current and accurate. When using an older video, be cautious about changes that may have been introduced in later versions of Silverlight. If you find problems with a video, please do send me email
