What I’ve Been Reading
I’ve gone through the1600 or so books and music that I’ve bought on Amazon in the past dozen years, and picked out my top 240 (e.g., roughly my top 20/year 1998-present). It is pleasurable and interesting to look over the list. There are some I’d almost certainly remove now, but I’ll stick with the review I gave the book or music when I read or listened to it at the time. Should it worry me that I’ve bought over 100 books/year just from Amazon. Don’t know, but that has been my pattern since I could afford books, and my pattern in elementary school was about 3-5 books / week (the benefits from having poor social skills!) so i’m at least used to it. I try not to think about the cumulative cost.
